Who We Are
Technicolor Darkness is an independent, alternative art and slow-fashion brand created by Bay Area-based artist and designer, Adrielle. Fusing vibrant color with emotional shadow work, every piece in the Technicolor Darkness collection reflects the duality of opposing forces like light/dark, ecstasy/depression, life/death.
Artist ETHOS
Adrielle is a neurodivergent (prob AuDHD but idk lol) creator and proud member of the LGBTQA+ community (straight > lesbian > bisexual > pansexual). She approaches her rainbow work with the unique perspective of having aphantasia (the inability to form mental images). Adrielle can neither confirm nor deny that the name ‘Technicolor Darkness’ was ideated during a psychedlic trip but sources close to the artist have been rumored to say it’s “how her eyes create rainbows.”
Find Adrielle vending at San Francisco pop-up shops or send her on an adventure to the post office by ordering for your rave fam with worldwide shipping. If she's not creating she’s either napping (with her huband & long-haired dachshund, Duke) or trying her best to eat plant-based as often as possible.
Slow Fashion
Designed for Ravers and Alternative Subcultures
Electronic Dance Music (EDM) and the rave community have been huge inspirations in shaping Technicolor Darkness. Adrielle's art seeks to combine the electric energy of music festivals and underground techno scenes with the rainbow colors of lasers and trippy psychedelic visuals.
Every design is created with intention in the San Francisco Bay Area with options to ship worldwide to share with your rave fam. No fast fashion, no soulless production. Whether you’re shopping for unique rave outfits, emo streetwear, or alternative aesthetic apparel, Technicolor Darkness can level up your wardrobe with ethical, edgy style.
From Angst to Aesthetic
The darker side of Technicolor Darkness is rooted in Adrielle’s angsty teenage years — back when skulls, checkerboard patterns, studded belts, ska bands, emo bangs, and DIY fashion ruled her world. Today, that emo nostalgia and indie rock angst have been infused into every piece of alternative streetwear specifically for elder emos, punk misfits, rebels, & creative outcasts who crave self-expression (or just anyone else who doesn’t wanna dress like a normie).
Divinely-Human Art
in the New Machine-Made World
In an era where tasteless collectors seem content with souless AI-generated slop, Adrielle is committed to preserving the humanity of art. Imperfect brushstrokes made by hand and lived emotions you can really connect with. Technicolor Darkness offers original artwork with a divinely human story told in color, chaos, and catharsis.
Thank You
for Supporting Independent Artists
Technicolor Darkness blends art with fashion into a community for humans that exist with equal amounts of color and sorrow in their lives. Thank you for supporting independent art, ethical fashion, and creatives who pour their soul into every piece. The future of Technicolor Darkness is both bright, and dark.
